Decoding Interfacial Polymerization Through Steady Amine Delivery and Real‐Time QCM‐D Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We combine steady amine delivery with in situ quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation to track interfacial polymerization in real time. The platform resolves three kinetic regimes: pre‐gelation oligomerization, post‐gelation aggregation and network growth, and diffusion‐limited film evolution.

Electronic‐State Programming of Ultrasmall CeO2 Switches H2O2 Activation From Radical to Bio‐Inspired Nonradical 1O2 Generation for Combating Antibiotic Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A scalable synthesis of carbon‐supported ultrasmall CeO2 nanoparticles with precisely tunable Ce electron density is reported. Electron‐lean Ce sites activate H2O2 exclusively via a nonradical pathway, enabling efficient HOBr and 1O2 production analogous to bromoperoxidase for contaminant and antibiotic resistance removal.

Performance and Environmental Impact of Flexible Temperature Sensors on Cellulose‐Based Substrate

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Toward low‐environmental‐impact approach to thin‐film sensors fabrication using natural ingredient‐based triacetyl cellulose (TAC) substrate. Temperature sensors are fabricated and characterized based on thermal and mechanical performance. Substrate recovery is demonstrated by facile dissolution of a Mo‐based sensor in deionized water.

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.

Configurational Entropy and Compositional Effects in Fe‐Based Oxide 2D Sheets for Nitrate Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
FeCuCoMnZnOx integrates diverse heteroatomic bridge‐site environments and composition‐dependent electronic structures to promote nitrate activation and sequential hydrogenation toward ammonia, demonstrating that nitrate reduction reaction performance is governed by the combined effects of composition and local coordination rather than configurational ...

Chinese Expert Consensus on the Clinical Application of Finerenone in Geriatric Comorbidities

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) overactivation drives inflammation, oxidative stress, and fibrosis in the heart, kidneys, and vasculature, leading to cardiorenal dysfunction. MR signaling promotes hypertrophy, remodeling, and injury through pathways like oxidative stress and inflammation, resulting in vascular stiffness and progressive organ damage ...

Laparoscopic Surgery Is Associated With Reduced Small Bowel Obstruction Risk After Colorectal Cancer Surgery: A Nationwide Cohort Study of 5458 Patients

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Abbreviated Abstract This nationwide retrospective cohort study of 5458 colorectal cancer surgeries across 32 Japanese institutions examined the effects of laparoscopic surgery, adhesion prevention materials (APMs), and stoma creation on the 5‐year risk of small bowel obstruction (SBO).

Coagulation–flocculation–decantation of dye house effluents: concentrated effluents

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2004
The treatment and valorization (recycling of water and mineral salts) of dyeing effluents constitutes a major economic and environmental issue. Cotton dyeing using reactive dyes is actually the most polluting in terms of discharge. In order to treat and valorize the effluent from a dyeing process using reactive dyes, the firm Clariant and the LPPE have
