This study primarily reveals that PM2.5‐derived Fe‐containing particles, particularly magnetite, are specifically enriched in the heart. Here, they interact with NCOA4 in endothelial cells, disrupt iron homeostasis by enhancing ferritinophagy, and subsequently trigger the process of EndMT through the NCOA4/KLF5 pathway.

Characterization of mesothelin gene expression in dogs and overexpression in canine mesotheliomas
IntroductionCanine mesotheliomas are uncommon malignant tumors typically detected late. Minimally invasive diagnostic biomarkers would facilitate diagnosis at earlier stages, thereby improving clinical outcomes.

Pleural fluid tumour markers in malignant pleural effusion with inconclusive cytologic results.
BACKGROUND The presence of tumour cells in pleural fluid or tissue defines an effusion as malignant. Cytology analysis of the pleural fluid has about 60% diagnostic sensitivity.

Pleural Effusion in Meigs’ Syndrome—Transudate or Exudate?
Although Meigs’ syndrome is regarded as a well-defined entity, contradictory data on pleural fluid characteristics have been presented, with some papers classifying it as a transudate, whereas others stating that it is an exudate. The aims of the study ...

Appressoria are specialized penetration structures for many plant pathogenic fungi, demanding precise cell cycle control. This study unveils MoMtg1 as a transcriptional repressor of MoSwi6, orchestrating MoCYC1 expression during turgor‐driven cell cycle progression to enable appressorium‐mediated penetration. Moreover, a small‐molecule inhibitor ZS1619

All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.

DENDRITIC CELL DIFFERENTIATION BLOCKED BY PRIMARY EFFUSION LYMPHOMA-RELEASED FACTORS IS PARTIALLY RESTORED BY INHIBITION OF P38 MAPK [PDF]
To better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the dendritic cell (DC) defects in cancer, we analyzed which signaling pathway is implicated in the abnormal monocyte differentiation into DC determined by the presence of Primary effusion lymphoma
