Study of mating effect, hosts range and competition with the parasitoid Bracon hebetor on some behavioral and biological aspects of larval parasitoid Goniosus sp [PDF]
Laboratory studies was conducted to investigate effect of mating behavior on egg laying, host selection and competition with Bracon hebetor. The results showed that no differences in mating and egg laying behavior between mated and unmated females ...

Investigations into stability in the fig/ fig-wasp mutualism [PDF]
Fig trees (Ficus, Moraceae) and their pollinating wasps (Chalcidoidea, Agaonidae) are involved in an obligate mutualism where each partner relies on the other in order to reproduce: the pollinating fig wasps are a fig tree’s only pollen disperser ...

Regulatory mechanisms of reproduction in locusts and grasshoppers
Regulatory networks composed of numerous coding and noncoding genes play crucial roles in the reproduction of locusts and grasshoppers. This review integrates mechanistic advances in reproductive regulation, highlighting environmentally adaptive pathways and providing prospective targets for eco‐friendly pesticides.

Encapsulation and Self-Superparasitism of Pseudapanteles dignus (Muesebeck) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), a Parasitoid of Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae). [PDF]
Endoparasitoids can be killed by host encapsulation, a cellular-mediated host immunological response against parasitism that involves hemocytes aggregation.

Wasp communities associated with fig trees, Ficus spp., are a model system to investigate how local and regional processes shape biodiversity across large geographical ranges. We investigated the β‐diversity of fig wasp assemblages associated with three widely distributed Neotropical fig species – F. citrifolia, F. obtusifolia and F. pertusa – using 27

Temperature-dependent development of Habrobracon hebetor (Hym.: Braconidae) reared on larvae of Galleria mellonella (Lep.: Pyralidae) [PDF]
The development times and the survival rates of different stages of Habrobracon hebetor Say reared on the last instar larvae of Galleria mellonella (L.) were compared at ten different constant temperatures (16 - 38 ºC).

Gronotoma micromorpha is a solitary egg-pupal and larval-pupal parasitoid. In a previous study, the developmental time of this parasitoid decreased with the age of its leaf miner host, Liriomyza trifolii, being significantly longer when the host was 0 ...

SYN‐A, a naturally derived synergist, inhibited key metabolic pathways associated with pyrethroid insecticide resistance in cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB) and its parasitoid Microctonus brassicae. SYN‐A restored pyrethroid efficacy against resistant CSFB allowing up to 80% reduction in application rates.
