KDM6A Deficiency Induces Myeloid Bias and Promotes CMML‐Like Disease Through JAK/STAT3 Activation by Repressing SOCS3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lysine demethylase 6A (KDM6A), an epigenetic regulator expressed in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), plays a critical role in hematopoietic homeostasis. Deficiency of KDM6A induces myeloid lineage skewing and drives the development of a chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML)‐like disease.

ZNHIT3 Regulates Translation to Ensure Cell Lineage Differentiation in Mouse Preimplantation Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Box C/D snoRNP complex regulates protein translation. This study identifies ZNHIT3 as a key component of the complex and ensures normal protein expression, including transcription factors orchestrating cell fate commitment, during early mouse embryogenesis.

From taste to purchase: Understanding the influence of sensory perceptions and informed tasting on plant-based product purchases - An extension of the theory of planned behavior

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Food Research
Although suggestions to shift towards plant-based diets have been proposed, and consumers have indicated their willingness to reduce meat consumption, there is a scarcity of research exploring consumers' attitudes and intentions regarding plant-based ...

The potential of mass rearing of Monoksa dorsiplana (Pteromalidae) a native gregarious ectoparasitoid of Pseudopachymeria spinipes (Bruchidae)in South America [PDF]

open access: yesBiological Control 41 (30/04/2007) 348-353, 2007
In Chile and Uruguay, the gregarious Pteromalidae (Monoksa dorsiplana) has been discovered emerging from seeds of the persistent pods of Acacia caven attacked by the univoltin bruchid Pseudopachymeria spinipes. We investigated the potential for mass rearing of this gregarious ectoparasitoid on an alternative bruchid host, Callosobruchus maculatus, to ...

A Porphyrin Nanomaterial for Photoimmunotherapy for Treatment of Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The TPC@OVA NPs are developed as dual‐functional nanomaterials combining phototherapy and immunotherapy for melanoma treatment. This system effectively ablates primary tumors, induces immunogenic cell death, promotes dendritic cell maturation, and enhances T cell activation.

Hierarchical modelling of faecal egg counts to assess anthelmintic efficacy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Counting the number of parasite eggs in faecal samples is a widely used diagnostic method to evaluate parasite burden. Typically a sub-sample of the diluted faeces is examined for eggs. The resulting egg counts are multiplied by a specific correction factor to estimate the mean parasite burden.

An Insect Salivary Sheath Protein Triggers Plant Resistance to Insects and Pathogens as a Conserved HAMP

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The salivary sheath protein myosin from SBPH is critical for the formation of the salivary sheath and feeding. However, myosin functions as a HAMP and triggered plant BAK1‐mediated PTI responses, which include the activation of calcium signaling pathways, MAPK phosphorylation, ROS bursts, and cell death, thereby triggering JA pathway.
