Miniaturized Devices for On‐the‐Spot Generation of Small‐Diameter Vascular Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 17, September 4, 2025.
An intracorporeal extrusion device is developed for on‐the‐spot generation of vascular grafts with tunable diameters spanning from 1 to 6 mm. The device uses biomimetic polymers and light, to promptly obtaining biocompatible and high‐burst pressure‐resistant grafts.

On the Quality Criteria for Microwave Absorbing Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 14, September 4, 2025.
In the field of microwave absorption, the RL value is a seriously overestimated parameter for microwave devices. This study proposes using the square refractive index under perfect impedance matching as a more comprehensive evaluation criterion, enabling multi‐dimensional assessment of material performance and offering effective guidance, particularly ...

Prospective Validation of an Ultrasound Capsule‐Based Model for Predicting Follicular Thyroid Carcinoma Without High‐Risk Features

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 17, September 2025.
US successfully identified the capsule of follicular thyroid nodules, with discontinuity in the capsule serving as a specific indicator for follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC). Intracapsular angioinvasion could also be identified by US, showing promise for guiding completion thyroidectomy by identifying patients with encapsulated angioinvasive FTC.

Applicability of Hydrogels as Platforms for Bone Regeneration: A Mini‐Review

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 36, Issue 9, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Bone regeneration remains a significant clinical challenge due to the complex structure of bone tissue and its limited healing capacity under pathological conditions. Hydrogels have emerged as promising platforms for bone tissue engineering (BTE), offering high water content, tunable porosity, and the ability to mimic the extracellular matrix (
