HIV Tat Binds Egr Proteins and Enhances Egr-dependent Transactivation of the Fas Ligand Promoter [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2002
HIV Tat can enhance activation-induced up-regulation of Fas ligand (FasL), which may contribute to T cell apoptosis in human immune deficiency virus (HIV)-infected individuals. We have assessed functional and physical interactions between Tat and the Egr family of transcription factors (Egr-1, -2, and -3), the latter two of which are major participants

Numerical Investigation on Effects of Assigned EGR Stratification on a Heavy Duty Diesel Engine with Two-Stage Fuel Injection

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
External exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) stratification in diesel engines contributes to reduction of toxic emissions. Weak EGR stratification lies in that strong turbulence and mixing between EGR and intake air by current introduction strategies of EGR.

Potential Application of CO2 for Enhanced Condensate Recovery Combined with Geological Storage in the Depleted Gas-Condensate Reservoirs

open access: yesManagement Systems in Production Engineering, 2021
CO2 emissions are considered to be the main contributor to global warming and climate change. One of the ways reducing the emissions to atmosphere is a proper capture and further geological storage of the carbon dioxide.

Sequential Expression of Egr‐1 and Egr‐3 in Hippocampal Granule Cells Following Electroconvulsive Stimulation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, 1998
Abstract: Previous studies examining the regulation of immediate early gene mRNAs by neuronal stimulation have revealed that two members of the Egr family of transcription factors, Egr‐1 and Egr‐3, display parallel response patterns. As these transcription factors compete for the same consensus sequence, we investigated how their expression and DNA ...

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate inhibits transforming-growth-factor-β1-induced collagen synthesis by suppressing early growth response-1 in human buccal mucosal fibroblasts

open access: yesJournal of the Formosan Medical Association, 2017
Transforming growth factor (TGF)-β is a key regulator in the pathogenesis of oral submucous fibrosis (OSF). Early growth response (Egr)-1 is essential for fibrotic responses to TGF-β.

Air Fraction and EGR Proportion Control for Dual Loop EGR Diesel Engines

open access: yesIngenieria y Universidad, 2015

Sustained Egr-1 Response via p38 MAP Kinase Signaling Modulates Early Immune Responses of Dendritic Cells Parasitized by Toxoplasma gondii

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2019
As a response to a diverse array of external stimuli, early growth response protein 1 (Egr-1) plays important roles in the transcriptional regulation of inflammation and the cellular immune response.

Hyperglycemia: GDNF-EGR1 pathway target renal epithelial cell migration and apoptosis in diabetic renal embryopathy. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Maternal hyperglycemia can inhibit morphogenesis of ureteric bud branching, Glial cell line-derived neurotrophilic factor (GDNF) is a key regulator of the initiation of ureteric branching.

Graphene‐Based Wearable Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators and Biomechanical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a wearable textile‐based triboelectric nanogenerator (T‐TENG) using sprayed graphene enhanced with a PVA adhesion layer. The graphene‐based electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and robustness to multiple bends. The fabricated T‐TENG provides stable and efficient output, with strong responsiveness to biomotion.

Long non-coding RNA MEG3 promotes fibrosis and inflammatory response in diabetic nephropathy via miR-181a/Egr-1/TLR4 axis

open access: yesAging, 2019
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play vital roles in diabetic nephropathy (DN). This research aimed to study the potential role and underlying molecular mechanisms of long non-coding RNA MEG3 in DN.
