TTNPB Promotes Human Pluripotent Stem Cell‐to‐Neural Stem Cell Transition via Modulation of Chromatin Accessibility and the S‐(5′‐adenosyl)‐L‐homocysteine/Choline Metabolic Network

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A retinoic acid receptor agonist, TTNPB, drives the efficient generation of advanced neural stem cells (ANSCs) from human pluripotent stem cells. TTNPB‐centered chromatin remodeling and metabolic reprogramming, promote neuroectoderm commitment. The resulting cells show robust neural potential and functional efficacy in a rat depression model.

Effects of rail pressure control on fuel consumption, emissions and combustion parameters in a turbocharged diesel engine

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2020
The influence of rail pressure control on fuel consumption, emissions and combustion in an automotive downsized turbocharged diesel engine was investigated, considering different operating modes in three-part load working conditions.

Intracellular Aβ42 Sequestration by a Serine Protease Mitigates Neurotoxicity in a Drosophila Alzheimer's Disease Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Emerging evidence suggests that intraneuronal Aβ accumulation represents an early pathogenic event in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Using Drosophila AD model, this study shows that a nonsecreted serine protease Yip7 physically interacts with Aβ. This causes intraneuronal Aβ accumulation but surprisingly reduces the associated neurotoxicity, arguing that ...

Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlases of Camels and Cattle Unravel Molecular Evolution of Digestive and Metabolic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We generated multi‐tissue single‐cell transcriptomic atlases of camels and cattle, uncovering conserved and lineage‐specific cellular features across digestive and metabolic systems. Cross‐species comparisons revealed the evolutionary origin of the camel glandular sac and identified novel cell populations linked to physiological specialization ...

Abcam Monoclonal Egr-1 ab133695 is an effective primary antibody replacement for Santa Cruz sc-189 polyclonal Egr-1 in songbirds

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Background: The immediate early gene ZENK (acronym zif268, Egr-1, NGFI-A, krox24) has been used extensively in songbird research (Mello et al., 1992; Jarvis and Nottebohm, 1997), as well as other research areas.

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Integrative single cell RNA‐sequencing and spatial transcriptomics uncovers distinct macrophage‐fibroblast cross‐talk in human hip synovium between patients with femoroacetabular impingement and osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objectives Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and synovitis have been recognized as essential factors for developing osteoarthritis (OA) in the hip joints. However, little is known about altered synovial cellular compositions, their associated transcriptomic profiles, and cell‐cell interactions in FAI and hip OA.

Numerical study on effects of EGR on combustion and NOx emissions of gasoline blended dissociated methanol gas engine

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), which can reduce NOx emissions effectively, has been widely studied in engines, but there are few studies using EGR on gasoline blended dissociated methanol gas (GDM) engines.

Effects of EGR rates on combustion and emission characteristics in a diesel engine with n-butanol/PODE3-4/diesel blends

open access: yesApplied Thermal Engineering, 2019
An experimental investigation is conducted on the influence of EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) rates (0–40%) on the combustion and emission characteristics of n-butanol/diesel/PODE3-4 blends at low-temperature combustion mode in diesel engine.

Do Eco‐Emotions and Climate Change Perceptions Influence Environmentally Conscious Decisions? Implications for Business Strategies

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite growing research on explicating travelers' decision‐making processes regarding greener travel options, there remains potential for exploring nuances of different factors and mechanisms that may encourage higher green travel. Grounded in the propositions of the push–pull–mooring framework, our study attempts to explicate whether eco ...
