Central Nervous System Vasculitis Due to Ehrlichia canis in a Dog. [PDF]
A 4‐year‐old spayed female mixed‐breed dog presented with a 2‐month history of vestibulo‐cerebellar ataxia and right head tilt. Clinical and MRI findings indicated right paradoxical vestibular syndrome with multifocal brain lesions and meningeal enhancement. Haematology revealed lymphocytosis, thrombocytopenia and hyperglobulinemia.

Ultrastructure of Ehrlichia canis [PDF]
The ultrastructure of Ehrlichia canis was examined in both pulmonary mononuclear cells and in monocytes cultured from an infected dog. The cytoplasmic inclusions, or morulae, of E. canis consisted of a membrane-lined vacuole-containing elementary bodies which varied in size and number.

Antigenic and Genomic Relatedness among Ehrlichia risticii, Ehrlichia sennetsu, and Ehrlichia canis [PDF]
Antigenic and genomic relatedness among Ehrlichia risticii, E. sennetsu, and E. canis was analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, Western blotting (immunoblotting) and DNA-DNA hybridization. E. risticii and E. sennetsu were serologically related, and their Western blot antigen profiles were nearly identical. Two antigens of E.
