Recombinant expression and use in serology of a specific fragment from the Cowdria ruminantium MAP1 protein [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The major antigenic protein (MAPI) of #Cowdria ruminantium# was screened for immunogenic regions by expression of overlapping recombinant DNA clones of the gene encoding the MAP1 protein.

Glycosylation of Homologous Immunodominant Proteins of Ehrlichia chaffeensis and Ehrlichia canis [PDF]

open access: yesInfection and Immunity, 2000
ABSTRACT The glycoprotein genes of Ehrlichia chaffeensis (1,644 bp) and Ehrlichia canis (2,064 bp) encode proteins of 548 to 688 amino acids with predicted molecular masses of only 61 and 73 kDa but with electrophoretic mobilities of 120 kDa (P120) and 140 kDa (P140), respectively ...

Concurrent iridociliary adenoma and haemorrhagic uveal cysts causing rapid intraocular mass progression in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract A 6‐year‐old, mixed‐breed dog was referred for evaluation of a red, non‐painful right eye. Examination revealed a well‐circumscribed, lobulated, reddish mass in the anterior chamber, initially presumed to be a benign haematocyst. Despite the non‐aggressive appearance and lack of pain or inflammation, the mass demonstrated rapid enlargement ...

Resolution of Noncardiogenic Pulmonary Oedema and Suspected Uraemic Pneumonitis in a Dog With Acute Kidney Injury Treated by Haemodialysis

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
Noncardiogenic pulmonary oedema (suspected uraemic pneumonitis) secondary to acute kidney injury in a dog. This case suggests that noncardiogenic pulmonary oedema may have been triggered by uraemia and systemic inflammation, and that haemodialysis may have contributed to pulmonary recovery by alleviating the uraemic condition.

Novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings of Bilaterally Symmetrical Lesions in a Dog With Concomitant Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis and Necrotizing Encephalitis

open access: yesVeterinary Radiology &Ultrasound, Volume 67, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT A 3‐year‐old, female neutered Bichon Frise was presented with a 2‐day history of behavioral changes and ataxia. The neurological examination was consistent with diffuse forebrain involvement, with left lateralization. An MRI study identified bilaterally symmetrical T2W/T2 fluid‐attenuated inversion recovery (T2‐FLAIR) hyperintense, T1W ...
