Deep Learning‐Based Fault Classification in Extra High Voltage Transmission Lines: A Comparative Study Using Simulated and Real‐Time Sequential Data

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 1, Page 201-217, January 2026.
This study describes the performance of BiLSTM, GRU, and TCN as deep learning models for the detection and classification of faults in transmission lines through synthetic and real‐time sequential datasets of 500 kV transmission line between Jamshoro and Karachi (NKI), in Sindh, Pakistan.

Molecular Detection of Equid Herpesvirus Type 2 (Ehv-2) and Type 5 (Ehv-5) in Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid From Asymptomatic Thoroughbred Horses in Southern Brazil

open access: yes, 2020
Abstract Background: Respiratory conditions are the leading cause of training disruption in racing horses. Molecular approaches to diagnose respiratory viruses have provided an opportunity for early and subclinical pathogen detection, particularly in samples from the upper respiratory tract.

Progestagens Monitoring in 147 Mares in Order to Induce Foaling With Oxytocin

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
Parturition was induced when the progestagens concentration fell of about 50% within 24 to 48 h. Induction was performed at 9 p.m. in 93 mares that followed the rule of the drop of progestagens, by a single IM oxytocin injection from 10 to 50 UI according to the weight of the mare (120 to 900 kg).

Long term stability and infectivity of herpesviruses in water [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
For viruses to utilize environmental vectors (hard surfaces, soil, water) for transmission, physical and chemical stability is a prerequisite. There are many factors including pH, salinity, temperature, and turbidity that are known to contribute to the ...

Predicting the Fault‐Ride‐Through Probability of Inverter‐Dominated Power Grids Using Machine Learning

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We present the first comprehensive demonstration of machine learning's potential in probabilistic dynamic stability analysis for power grids, using fault‐ride‐through probability as a practical metric. Our ML models, trained on synthetic grid simulations, accurately predict stability outcomes and component criticality while generalizing well to ...

Analysis of the Field Circuit Model for the Suspension Potential of Conductors in Single‐Circuit Outage of Double‐Circuit DC Transmission Lines on the Same Tower

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 10, Issue 6, Page 1522-1531, December 2025.
ABSTRACT In the de‐icing process of double‐circuit direct current (DC) transmission lines on the same tower, an operational condition exists in which one circuit is de‐energised and utilised as part of the de‐icing current path, specifically designed for grounding line de‐icing purposes.

Viremia and nasal shedding for the diagnosis of equine herpesvirus‐1 infection in domesticated horses

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Internal Medicine
Background Equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV‐1) infection is associated with upper respiratory disease, EHM, abortions, and neonatal death. Research Questions Are nasal secretions a more sensitive biological sample compared to blood for the detection of EHV‐

Antimicrobial prescribing guidelines for horses in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 103, Issue 12, Page 781-889, December 2025.
The growing problem of antimicrobial resistance also affects equine veterinarians with increasing frequency. Antimicrobial stewardship and responsible prescribing are essential for a future in which effective antimicrobials are available, as it is unlikely that new antimicrobials will become available for use in horses.
