Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 1992Abstract Four aromatic metabolites with the phenalene skeleton have been isolated from the aquatic plant Eichhornia crassipes. The structure have been attributed on the basis of the spectroscopic features of their permethylated derivatives. Their in vitro antialgal activity was tested.
