Desalination of sea water with aquatic lily (Eichhornia crassipes)
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2016During the last decades, methods of halo conditioning have been developed to increase the tolerance to salinity in glucophyta crops. Some experiments have carried out the application of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), in support to the modification of cell tolerance in saline medium.

Eichhornia crassipes Genome sequencing and assembly
2023Eichhornia crassipes, commonly known as common water hyacinth, is one of the most notorious weeds that cause severe damage to the economy and natural ecosystems of infested areas. Here, we assembled a chromosome-level genome for E. crassipes.

Biological Control, 1995
Abstract An alginate formulation of Alternaria eichhorniae (isolate Ae5) was evaluated in greenhouse trials as a bioherbicide to control waterhyacinth ( Eichhornia crassipes ). Pellet and powder formulations, the latter used in combination with hydrophilic substances, were tested.

Thermodynamics and Kinetics Parameters of Eichhornia crassipes Biomass for Bioenergy
Protein & Peptide Letters, 2018Eichhornia crassipes is an aquatic plant well known for its role in soil reclamation due to the containment of valuable nutrients. Moreover, its biomass is an abundant and low-cost biological resource. Pyrolysis of a biomass offers one of the cleanest methods to harness the bioenergy stored in the biomass. The present study was focused on evaluating the

Optimization of arsenic phytoremediation using Eichhornia crassipes
International Journal of Phytoremediation, 2018This study aimed to evaluate the pH, phosphate, and nitrate in the process of arsenic absorption by Eichhornia crassipes (water hyacinth), using the surface response methodology, in order to optimize the process. The plants were exposed to a concentration of arsenic of 0.5 mg L-1 (NaAsO2) over a period of 10 days.

Supercritical fluid extraction of Eichhornia crassipes
