Morphologies in‐between: The impact of the first steps on the human talus
Abstract Objective The development of bipedalism is a very complex activity that contributes to shaping the anatomy of the foot. The talus, which starts ossifying in utero, may account for the developing stages from the late gestational phase onwards.

Endostructural and periosteal growth of the human humerus
Abstract The growth and development of long bones are of considerable interests in the fields of comparative anatomy and palaeoanthropology, as evolutionary changes and adaptations to specific physical activity patterns are expected to be revealed during bone ontogeny.

Some Properties of SINR Regions for Standard Interference Mappings
In 1995, Yates proposed an axiomatic framework of standard interference mappings and examined the iterative power control algorithm for a system with interference constraints.

Varanids are the only non-avian sauropsids that are known to approach the warm-blooded mammals in stamina. Furthermore, a much higher maximum metabolic rate (MMR) gives endotherms (including birds) higher stamina than crocodiles, turtles, and non-varanid

New Results of Multi-Agent Controllability Under Equitable Partitions
This paper studies the controllability of leader-follower multi-agent systems under fixed topology. The relationship between controllability and information communication topologies is characterized by taking advantage of equitable partitions.

On Universal Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors of Hypermatrices [PDF]
A cubic hypermatrix of order $d$ can be considered as a structure matrix of a tensor with covariant order $r$ and contra-variant order $s=d-r$. Corresponding to this matrix expression of the hypermatrix, an eigenvector $x$ with respect to an eigenvalue $\lambda$ is proposed, called the universal eigenvector and eigenvalue of the hypermatrix.

Eigenvector-spatial localisation [PDF]
We present a new multiscale covariance localisation method for ensemble data assimilation that is based on the estimation of eigenvectors and subsequent projections, together with traditional spatial localisation applied with a range of localisation lengths.

Localization and universality of eigenvectors in directed random graphs [PDF]
Although the spectral properties of random graphs have been a long-standing focus of network theory, the properties of right eigenvectors of directed graphs have so far eluded an exact analytic treatment. We present a general theory for the statistics of the right eigenvector components in directed random graphs with a prescribed degree distribution ...
