Research on 96GHz sheet-beam EIO

2019 44th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz), 2019
Based on the sheet-beam EIO structure, this paper studies the cold cavity parameters and particle simulation of the 96 GHz sheet-beam EIO. The result shows average output power of the structure is 223W in TM 31 and the electron beam modulation depth is 26.1% with the voltage of 11.4kV and the current of 1.6A.

An advanced terahertz EIO operating with TM31 mode

In order to increase the feasibility and reliability of the terahertz extended interaction oscillator (EIO), the method of adopting TM31 in the reentry cavity is proposed. The characteristics of high-order EIO is theoretically analyzed, including its electromagnetic properties and the field distributions in it.
