CFD analysis of ejector in a combined ejector cooling system

International Journal of Refrigeration, 2005
Abstract One-dimensional ejector analyses often use coefficients derived from experimental data for a set of operating conditions with limited functionality. In this study, several ejector designs were modelled using finite volume CFD techniques to resolve the flow dynamics in the ejectors.

Ejector refrigeration: A comprehensive review [PDF]

open access: yesRenewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2016
The increasing need for thermal comfort has led to a rapid increase in the use of cooling systems and, consequently, electricity demand for air-conditioning systems in buildings.

A Transportable Ejector Flowmeter

Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, 1976
A transportable ejector flowmeter for the complete removal of anaesthetic gases from operating theatres and anaesthetic rooms is described. The ejector flowmeter can also be employed as a suction unit driven by compressed air.

Supersonic Air Ejectors

1958
Publisher Summary The industrial use of jet ejectors, though already old enough, has been confined mainly to particular cases of operation. The experimental results obtained with such ejectors are therefore insufficient to allow a safe extrapolation of the performance curves to more general cases. Large-sized modern jet ejectors, driven by high-power

The Design of a Droplet Ejector

Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1999
A model is developed describing a novel ink jet printer driven by a piezoelectric component used to eject a fluid droplet through a rubber valve. The model is analyzed to address specific printer design issues. Rapid droplet production and efficient conversion of piezoelectric energy to droplet kinetic energy are ensured by suitable choices of the ...

Variable geometry ejectors and their applications in ejector refrigeration systems

Energy, 1996
Refrigeration and air-conditioning units powered by low-grade thermal energy have economic advantages. However, the current market is dominated by mechanical vapour-compression systems powered by electrical energy. Ejector-refrigeration cycles offer a low-cost and reliable option for harnessing low-grade thermal energy.

Study of vapor ejector performance on ejector throat diameter

2011 International Conference on Materials for Renewable Energy & Environment, 2011
The 2D axisymmetric, real gas model was developed to calculate the ejector in the ejector cooling system. The calculation is to obtain the effect of ejector throat diameter on ejector performance. There is an optimum ejector throat diameter De*(17mm) with the giving calculation operating condition and the other geometry parameters.

Physics of the Ejectors

2018
The global behavior of the ejector results from a combination of complex flow features including shock trains, turbulent mixing layers bounded by wall regions, shock-induced separations, boundary layers subject to adverse pressure gradients, non-equilibrium phase change, etc.
