Mesomechanical Modeling and Numerical Simulation of the Diffraction Elastic Constants for Ti6Al4V Polycrystalline Alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2018
A mesoscopic mechanical model based on the Mori-Tanaka method and Eshelby’s inclusion theory was presented to investigate the uniform elastic deformation behavior of Ti6Al4V with β-Ti and α-Ti phases.

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

METHOD FOR MODIFYING PROFILE OF CYCLOIDAL WHEEL CONSIDERING COMPENSATION FOR ELASTIC DEFORMATION

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2020
Considering the influence of elastic deformation on the profile of the cycloid,a cycloid profile modification method for compensating elastic deformation is proposed.Based on the theory of cycloid profile modification, the coordinates of the meshing point

Electrical Impedance Tomography by Elastic Deformation [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2008
Summary: This paper presents a new algorithm for conductivity imaging. Our idea is to extract more information about the conductivity distribution from data that have been enriched by coupling impedance electrical measurements to localized elastic perturbations.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Simultaneous electrical resistivity and elastic wave velocity measurements during triaxial deformation of granite under brine-saturated conditions

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2023
We report the first experiments, where simultaneous electrical resistivity and elastic wave velocity measurements are acquired during the triaxial deformation of granite under brine-saturated conditions.

A time-independent deformer for elastic contacts

open access: yesACM Transactions on Graphics, 2021
We present a purely geometric, time-independent deformer resolving local contacts between elastic objects, including self-collisions between adjacent parts of the same object that often occur in character skinning animation. Starting from multiple meshes in intersection, our deformer first computes the parts of the surfaces remaining in contact, and ...

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Elastic Deformation Properties of Geomaterials

open access: yesSoils and Foundations, 1992
ABSTRACT The stress-strain relationships of various kinds of geomaterials; i.e., a cement-treated sandy soil, a sedimentary soft rock, gravels, sands and reconstituted kaolin, were examined in tests using specimens subjected to both monotonic and cyclic shear in triaxial, plane strain compression and torsional simple shear. A particular attention was
