Variable Stiffness Flexure Structures Enabled by Phase‐Change Gallium and Adhesive Interfacial Locking for Soft Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A flexure‐based variable stiffness structure is developed by integrating phase‐change modulation and adhesive interfacial locking of gallium. The design enables a wide stiffness variability, transitioning from soft, flexible behavior to rigid, load‐supporting performance.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

对由轴弹性变形产生回差的研究

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2002
For the double-acting accurate gearing trains, the shafting elastic deformation is also one of main factors affecting the return stagnant angle. Because the present calculating method only involves the effect of the shafting elastic torsional deformation

Evolution of microstructure and properties of cold-drawn 07Cr17Ni7Al ultrafine wire

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng
The elastic limit is a critical parameter in spring design, which has a significant impact on the spring characteristic. The influence of cold drawing on the strength, elastic limit, elastic after-effect, and microstructure of 07Cr17Ni7Al ultrafine wire ...

NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF FINITE HYPO-ELASTIC CYCLIC DEFORMATION WITH LARGE ROTATIONS

open access: yesFacta Universitatis. Series: Architecture and Civil Engineering, 2019
Constitutive relations which describe engineering materials behaviour during the finite elastoplastic deformations are usually presented in the form of rates of stresses and strains.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

行星滚柱丝杠副轴向弹性变形的有限元分析

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2012
By taking a planetary roller screw as the research object, the influence of contact angle and helix angle on axial elastic deformation are considered, and the axial elastic deformation of screw pair are calculated with finite element method. It is concluded

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated
