A HOMOGENIZATION TECHNIQUE FOR ELASTO-PLASTIC COMPOSITES [PDF]
The present study proposes a homogenization technique for the estimation of the overall behavior of composite materials characterized by a nonlinear behavior. A mixed nonuniform TFA procedure is proposed in order to study the mechanical response of periodic composites characterized by linear isotropic hardening plasticity.

On homogenization of elasto-plasticity [PDF]
Plasticity is a classic hysteresis phenomenon. We represent elasto-plasticity with kinematic strain-hardening for multiaxial systems via the differential inclusion a(d?/dt) ? b(d?/dt) ?IK(c? ? d?)???(with a, b, c, d constants ? 0); here IK is the indicator function of a (nonempty) closed convex set K of the space of symmetric 3 ? 3-deviators.

A Critical Revisiting of Finite Elasto-Plasticity [PDF]
We propose a new evolution model for large strain elasto-plasticity. In a quasi-static setting, the suggested model can be formulated as a variational evolution. We establish the existence of a closely related evolution in a regularized context. We then discuss how the proposed model performs in both a rigid-plastic and a one-dimensional setting and ...

Based on the triaxial test, the elasto-perfectly plastic strain-softening damage model (EPSDM) is proposed as a new four-stage constitutive model. Compared with traditional models, such as the elasto-brittle-plastic model (EBM), elasto-strain-softening ...

Elasto‐plastic deformation in a spherical pendulum [PDF]
AbstractHeavily loaded deformable structures performing rigid body motions may exhibit elastic as well as plastic strains, particularly when the elastic stiffness and the yield stress are considerably lowered by catastrophic environmental influences. The dynamic equations are derived from the Newton‐Euler equations.

Buckling resistance assessment of thin-walled open section element under pure compression
The paper deals with the problem of buckling resistance determination in case of perforated thin-walled elements. Depending on element slenderness the limit load in compression mode may be determined taking into account elastic (LBA analysis), elasto ...
