This work pioneers melt electrowriting (MEW) of polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA) to fabricate ultra‐compliant, high‐resolution scaffolds. By integrating microscale precision with soft tissue‐like biomechanics, PEVA overcomes stiffness‐driven limitations of conventional MEW polymers, establishing a mechanically biomimetic platform for soft tissue ...

Wind load effect on the lateral instability of precast beams on elastomeric bearing supports
The behavior of slender precast beams related to lateral stability in the transitional and in service phases is worrying. The presence of geometric imperfections aggravates and makes the problems of instability more susceptible.

Effect of Elastomeric Bearings in Bridge Piers
In this paper, the influence of elastomeric bearings is investigated in terms of seismic responses and presented under effects of severe ground motions. For this purpose, seismic performance of an isolated pier system is analytically studied by using time history analyses.

Tension buckling in multilayer elastomeric isolation bearings [PDF]
Seismic isolators are constructed from multiple layers of elastomer (usually natural rubber) reinforced with steel plates; they are, therefore, very stiff in the vertical direction, but soft in the horizontal direction. The buckling of these bearings under compression load is a well-understood phenomenon and has been widely studied.

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

Experimental validation of durable silicone elastomers for high-ductility seismic isolation bearings
Although laminated elastomeric bearings are integral components in seismic isolation systems, their elastomeric materials remain susceptible to environmental degradation and temperature-induced aging.

xx xx. ABSTRACT Stimuli‐responsive nanomaterials capable of spatiotemporal control over drug release are of nanocomposite patch (“e‐Medi‐Patch”) engineered from biodegradable polycaprolactone (PCL), graphene nanoplatelets, and a redox‐active therapeutic, niclosamide. The hierarchical composite integrates π‐π interactions between aromatic drug molecules

Compression and shear properties of elastomeric bearing using finite element analysis [PDF]
Standard size samples of four natural rubber compounds, varying the amount of carbon black from 10 to 70 phr, were characterised under uniaxial compression and simple shear tests in order to obtain the strain energy function constants.
