Structural testing and analytical model of Reinforced Concrete (RC) prisms with 3D‐printed concrete permanent formwork under compressive loading

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The implementation of traditional steel reinforcement in 3D concrete printed structures is a major challenge. Although 3D‐printed structures may be used as formwork, the knowledge about their structural contribution is limited. This research aims to experimentally evaluate the structural performance of reinforced concrete prisms with 3D ...

AN ELASTOPLASTIC CONSTITUTIVE MODEL FOR POROUS MATERIALS

open access: yes, 2013
A micromechanics-based elastoplastic constitutive model for porous materials is proposed. With an assumption of modified three-dimensional Ramberg-Osgood equation for the compressible matrix material, the variational principle based on a linear ...

Behavior of exterior beam‐column joint reinforced with shape memory alloy

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Beam‐column joints are critical regions in moment‐resisting frames and are particularly susceptible to severe stress concentrations and reinforcement congestion. Conventional design typically relies on dense transverse reinforcement to improve joint performance, resulting in construction difficulties and reinforcement congestion.

Coefficients of restitution for elastoplastic oblique impacts

open access: yes, 2002
The paper presents results of a finite element analysis of both elastic and elastoplastic oblique impacts of a sphere with a target wall using the DYNA3D code. For elastic oblique impacts, the results are in complete agreement with previous publications.

Fast Nodal Hessian Computation for Peridynamic Fracture Simulation

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
A fast, exact nodal Hessian computation for Non‐Ordinary State‐Based Peridynamics is introduced through analytical simplification and a warp‐centric GPU strategy. The method accelerates preconditioned solvers and Vertex Block Descent, enabling interactive fracture simulation with physical accuracy.

Modification of Concrete Damaged Plasticity model. Part II: Formulation and numerical tests

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
A refined model for elastoplastic damaged material is formulated based on the plastic potential introduced in Part I [1]. Considered model is an extension of Concrete Damaged Plasticity material implemented in Abaqus [2].

Elastoplastic analysis by complete implicit stress-update algorithm based on the extended subloading surface model

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
Elastoplastic analysis of solid structures under cyclic loadings is increasingly required in recent years. To this end, it is necessary to adopt elastoplastic model capable of describing cyclic loading behavior and to employ stress integration algorithm ...

Axial and Biaxial Fatigue Behavior of 6061‐T651 Cold Metal Transfer Welded Joints

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lightweight aluminum structures in transportation systems are increasingly exposed to complex service loading, yet the fatigue performance of welded joints is still predominantly assessed using uniaxial data. In this work, the axial and biaxial fatigue behavior of 6061‐T651 aluminum alloy joints produced by cold metal transfer (CMT) welding is

Visco-elastoplastic constitutive model for remolded loess based on infinitesimalization of plastic elements

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Based on the theory of infinitesimalization of plastic elements and infinite series, the visco-elastoplastic constitutive model for remolded loess is established through the triaxial creep tests under loading and unloading conditions and verified by the ...
