Analysis and Control of Slotless Self-Bearing Motor
A self-bearing motor (SBM) is an electric motor with a magnetically integrated bearing function, that is, it can provide levitation and rotation simultaneously as a single actuator.

Application of the Methods of Monitoring and Detecting the Belt Mistracking in Laboratory Conditions
Belt mistracking is one of the most dangerous and costly failures of belt conveyors. This phenomenon can lead to complete damage to the conveyor belt, increased demand for electricity from the drive, accelerated wear of route elements, and poses a fire ...

Non-Circulating Bearing Currents in Drum-Winding Machine: Threat Level and Role of End Windings [PDF]
Bearing currents are a significant challenge in electric machines, particularly in variable speed drives with modern fast-switching frequency converters.

The converter switching in variable-frequency drives can generate high frequency common mode voltage between the machine winding and the converter ground, leading to high frequency parasitic currents which can flow through the machine bearings unless precautions are taken in design and installation.

Effects of substorms on the stormtime ring current index Dst [PDF]
There has been some discussion in recent times regarding whether or not substorm expansive phase activity plays any role of importance in the formation of the stormtime ring current.

Assessment and Mitigation of Non-Circulating Bearing Currents in Bridgeless Rotor Synchronous Reluctance Machine [PDF]
Bearing currents in electric machines can lead to surface damage to bearings and eventual machine failure. Non-circulating bearing currents resulting from high-frequency common-mode voltages interacting with parasitic capacitances are particularly ...

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

Detection of Bearing Damage Using Stator Current, and Voltage to Cancel Electrical Noise [PDF]
This paper investigates the detection of a bearing defect in an asynchronous machine by analysing the electric signals. For this purpose, it is considered that the voltage is imposed and independent of mechanical aspect and that the mechanical defect appears only in the current thanks to the variation of impedance.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.
