Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2007A dynamic volume imaging based on the principle of electrical capacitance tomography (ECT), namely, electrical capacitance volume tomography (ECVT), has been developed in this study. The technique generates, from the measured capacitance, a whole volumetric image of the region enclosed by the geometrically three-dimensional capacitance sensor.

An electrical capacitance tomography
6th International Conference on Signal Processing, 2002., 2003This paper reports on a study determining the capacitance from given permittivity patterns and describes the image reconstruction method for electrical capacitance tomography (ECT). The model described in this paper is a square object with 8 electrodes. The finite difference method and Gauss's law are used for calculating numerically the capacitance of

A Desolvated Solid–Solid Interface for a High‐Capacitance Electric Double Layer
Advanced Energy Materials, 2019Understanding the electric double layer is essential for achieving efficient electrochemical energy storage technologies. A conventional solid–liquid electrode interface suffers from serious self‐discharge and a narrow voltage window, which makes the ...

Electric field simulation in electrical capacitance tomography
2012 IEEE International Conference on Imaging Systems and Techniques Proceedings, 2012The applications of electric capacitance tomography require a custom-designed sensor with individually calculated sensitivity matrix. The sensor can be modeled using an electric field simulator. A highly advanced simulator QuickWave-3D was applied to generate a sensitivity matrix for a designed sensor. The calculation results are presented and compared

Electric Double-Layer Capacitance of Carbon Nanocages
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2009We have carried out capacitive experiments on carbon nanocage (CNC) materials, which have highly ordered and uniform pores. The sizes of the opening pores in CNCs are approximately 5.6 nm, as measured from TEM images. CNC materials exhibit type IV nitrogen adsorption isotherms according to the IUPAC classification scheme along with hysteresis and BJH ...

Inside-out electrical capacitance tomography
Flow Measurement and Instrumentation, 2011Abstract In this work we demonstrate the construction of an ‘inside-out’ sensor geometry for electrical capacitance tomography (ECT). The inside-out geometry has the electrodes placed around a tube, as usual, but measuring ‘outwards’. The flow between the electrodes and an outer tube is reconstructed; allowing the inside-out sensor to move inside the
