The Electrical Capacitance, the Link to the Electrical Fluctuations
2016In this chapter, we develop a method in order to estimate the electrical fluctuations in small systems. The method consists in knowing the electrical capacitance that emerges as a consequence of the processes or the system’s interfaces. We use results given by the fluctuation-dissipation theorem in the classical limit.

Dynamic Inversion Approach for Electrical Capacitance Tomography
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) is considered as a promising measurement technique, in which reconstructing high quality images plays a crucial role in real applications. In this paper, a dynamic reconstruction model, which simultaneously utilizes the ECT measurement information and the dynamic evolution information of a dynamic object, is ...

Digital signal processing in electrical capacitance tomography
APCCAS 2008 - 2008 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2008This paper presents the design, implementation and performance of a 16-electrode electrical capacitance tomography in Tianjin University. Currently, electrical capacitance tomography systems are primarily based on analog hardware. However, there are some disadvantages for the analog devices, e.g.

TUMOR CAPACITANCE: ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENTS OF RENAL NEOPLASIA
Journal of Urology, 2004Studies have demonstrated that biological tissues possess unique electrical properties. We evaluate the electrical properties of renal tumors using a specialized probe with the capability of measuring intra-tissue capacitance in an ex vivo model of fresh surgically excised tissue. An electrical monitoring device was used to measure tissue capacitance at

A multi-output capacitive charger for electric vehicles
2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017Multi-output converters are widely used in various electronic devices and Electric Vehicles (EVs) due to their benefit in terms of cost, efficiency and space for installation. On the other hand, Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) methods including Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) and Capacitive Power Transfer (CPT) have been applied increasingly in EVs since ...

The Electrical Capacitance Diaphragm Manometer
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1942A new type of diaphragm manometer for direct pressure measurements in the arterial blood stream and in other fluid systems is described using a radiofrequency, crystal-controlled oscillator and a pressure-sensitive condenser in the pick-up unit. The potential drop due to the plate current of the oscillator tube flowing through a resistor is amplified ...

Electrical Capacitance and Membrane Area
1989Almost 200 years of scientific inquiry were necessary to understand that the electric skate produced its powerful electrical discharge by summing the membrane depolarizations of the cells in each prism in series and having all the prisms in parallel. Cavendishs’ “battery” consisted of 40 Leyden jars, the only means for storing electricity at that time,
