An advanced algorithm of electrical capacitance tomography
Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences, 1999We describe a new two-phase flow electrical capacitance tomography algorithm of image reconstruction which is based on 12-electrode capacitance transducers. According to the result of computer simulation, this algorithm is able to greatly increase the imaging fidelity without decreasing the imaging velocity.

Electric field simulation in electrical capacitance tomography
2012 IEEE International Conference on Imaging Systems and Techniques Proceedings, 2012The applications of electric capacitance tomography require a custom-designed sensor with individually calculated sensitivity matrix. The sensor can be modeled using an electric field simulator. A highly advanced simulator QuickWave-3D was applied to generate a sensitivity matrix for a designed sensor. The calculation results are presented and compared

Electric Double-Layer Capacitance of Carbon Nanocages
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2009We have carried out capacitive experiments on carbon nanocage (CNC) materials, which have highly ordered and uniform pores. The sizes of the opening pores in CNCs are approximately 5.6 nm, as measured from TEM images. CNC materials exhibit type IV nitrogen adsorption isotherms according to the IUPAC classification scheme along with hysteresis and BJH ...

A Digital Switching Demodulator for Electrical Capacitance Tomography
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013In this paper, a digital switching demodulator is presented for use in ac-based electrical capacitance tomography systems. Implementing a switching phase-sensitive demodulator (PSD) digitally offers the following advantages: 1) Demodulation can be implemented using a programmable digital device, and hence, CMOS switches, which are used in a ...

Electrical capacitance of ion-exchanger membranes
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1967Abstract The electrical impedance of ion-exchanger membranes between identical solutions of uni-univalent electrolyte was studied. At subaudio frequencies there was a large capacitance (Farads/cm 2 ) which varied with frequency, electrolyte concentration, individual diffusion constant of membrane co- and counter-ion, and sign of membrane charge.

Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2007A dynamic volume imaging based on the principle of electrical capacitance tomography (ECT), namely, electrical capacitance volume tomography (ECVT), has been developed in this study. The technique generates, from the measured capacitance, a whole volumetric image of the region enclosed by the geometrically three-dimensional capacitance sensor.

Electrical capacitance of the unit cube
Journal of Applied Physics, 2004It is well known that there is no analytical expression for the electrical capacitance of a cube, even though it has been claimed that one can compute this capacitance numerically to high precision. However, there have been some disparities between reported numerical results of the capacitance of the unit cube.

A miniature electrical capacitance tomograph
Measurement Science and Technology, 2006The paper describes a miniature electrical capacitance tomography system. This is based on a custom CMOS silicon integrated circuit comprising eight channels of signal conditioning electronics to source drive signals and measure voltages. Electrodes are deposited around a hole that is fabricated, using ultrasonic drilling, through a ceramic substrate ...
