Spin electric effects in molecular antiferromagnets
Molecular nanomagnets show clear signatures of coherent behavior and have a wide variety of effective low-energy spin Hamiltonians suitable for encoding qubits and implementing spin-based quantum information processing.

Design of a Circularly-Polarized Microstrip Antenna by Utilizing Mutually-Coupled Resonators
This article proposes a design method for a circularly-polarized (CP) antenna, which is realized by using coupling effects. Initially, the desired electric(magnetic) coupling between two identical $\lambda$ /4 short-circuited microstrip line (MS-L ...

Synaptic Integration in Electrically Coupled Neurons [PDF]
Interactions among chemical and electrical synapses regulate the patterns of electrical activity of vertebrate and invertebrate neurons. In this investigation we studied how electrical coupling influences the integration of excitatory postsynaptic potentials (EPSPs).

Extremal black holes in D=4 Gauss-Bonnet gravity
We show that four-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Gauss-Bonnet gravity admits asymptotically flat black hole solutions with a degenerate event horizon of the Reissner-Nordstr\"om type $AdS_2\times S^2$.

Neutron electric dipole moment in a supersymmetric model with singlet quarks [PDF]
The neutron electric dipole moment is investigated in a supersymmetric electroweak model admitting $ {\rm SU(2)}_W $ singlet and $ Q = -1/3 $, say $ D $-type, quarks.

Influence of backreaction of electric fields and Schwinger effect on inflationary magnetogenesis
We study the generation of electromagnetic fields during inflation when the conformal invariance of Maxwell's action is broken by the kinetic coupling $f^{2}(\phi)F_{\mu\nu}F^{\mu\nu}$ of the electromagnetic field to the inflaton field $\phi$.

Electron-phonon interaction via Pekar mechanism in nanostructures [PDF]
We consider an electron-acoustic phonon coupling mechanism associated with the dependence of crystal dielectric permittivity on the strain (the so-called Pekar mechanism) in nanostructures characterized by strong confining electric fields. The efficiency

Electrically small, complementary electric-field-coupled resonator antennas
We study the radiation properties of electrically small resonant antennas (ka<1) composed of electric-field-coupled (ELC) and complementary electric-field-coupled (CELC) resonators and a monopole antenna. We use such parasitic ELC and CELC “metaresonators” to design various electrically small antennas.
