Discrete‐time modelling and stability analysis of wireless power transfer system

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
Wireless power transfer (WPT) has been widely used in recent years due to its convenient access to power and security in some specific cases. However, the inherent non‐linearity of the WPT system can result in unexpected stability problems. In this paper,

Electrical resistance of the current collector controls lithium morphology

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
AbstractThe electrodeposition of low surface area lithium is critical to successful adoption of lithium metal batteries. Here, we discover the dependence of lithium metal morphology on electrical resistance of substrates, enabling us to design an alternative strategy for controlling lithium morphology and improving electrochemical performance.

A lyapunov‐based adaptive voltage controller for a grid connected PV system

open access: yesIET Smart Grid, 2021
A new Lyapunov‐based adaptive controller (LBAC) for a single stage three‐phase grid‐connected PV system (GCPVS) is proposed here. The uncertainties in solar irradiation affects the performance of the GCPVS.

Electrically controlled pumping of spin currents in topological insulators [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2011
Pure spin currents are shown to be generated by an electrically controlled quantum pump applied at the edges of a topological insulator. The electric rather than the more conventional magnetic control offers several advantages and avoids, in particular, the necessity of delicate control of magnetization dynamics over tiny regions.

A robust optimal distributed control design for simultaneous voltage regulation and current sharing in DC microgrid

open access: yesIET Smart Grid, 2023
In this article, a robust optimal distributed controller is designed for achieving average voltage regulation and current sharing in a DC microgrid. Each distributed generation unit (DGU) consists of a DC‐DC buck converter that supplies a local constant ...

A Novel Decomposition for Control of DC Circuits and Grid Models with Heterogeneous Energy Sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The way in which electric power depends on the topology of circuits with mixed voltage and current sources is examined. The power flowing in any steady-state DC circuit is shown to depend on a minimal set of key variables called fundamental node voltages
