Synchronizing Properties of Impulse-Current Controlled Electric Drive of Coordinated Rotation in the Circuit of Electrically Coupled Rectifiers of the Rotor

2020 IEEE Problems of Automated Electrodrive. Theory and Practice (PAEP), 2020
Analytical dependences the equalizing current and the rotor slip differences vs the electric drive parameters are obtained. We established that the rotational speeds mismatch in the circuit to be considered is 2-2.5 times less than in the case the motors are operated in compliance with their natural characteristics.

Online grid inductance estimation for electric traction PWM rectifier based on dual-frequency harmonic current injection

IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017
Due to the nonstationary characteristic of the electric locomotives in electric traction systems, the equivalent grid impedance changes frequently, which may lead to detrimental effect on the control system of electric traction PWM rectifiers. The mathematical model of an electric traction PWM rectifier is established, and the double-loop control ...

Research on the Instantaneous Current Control of PWM Rectifier for Electric Locomotive Auxiliary Converter

2016
According to the application requirements of the PWM rectifier in the auxiliary converter system of electric locomotive, the working principle and working condition of the model are analyzed, and the relevant switching functions are established. This paper briefly introduces the current control of PWM rectifier and the digital phase-locked loop (PLL ...

The Effect of Gas Pressure in the Electric Bulb on the Polarity of the Rectified Current

Journal of Applied Physics, 1952
In sequel to the experiment by Ch'en and Liu (see reference 2) that a rectified current was derivable from the surface of the bulb when the bulb was coated with Chinese ink and was run by alternating current, the following points were observed with 220-v bulbs: (1) When the nitrogen pressure inside the bulb was more than a hundred mm Hg, the polarity ...

Grid-frequency Vienna rectifier and isolated current-source DC-DC converters for efficient off-board charging of electric vehicles

2020 22nd European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE'20 ECCE Europe), 2020
This paper is focused on an alternative concept of the EV off-board charging system based on three-level Vienna rectifier operating at grid frequency and two soft-switched, isolated current-source DC-DC converters. Operation principles of the system including a low frequency input stage and DC-DC converters are studied, also using circuit simulations ...

Optically rectified electrical currents with spin-momentum-locking and extraordinary transmission in plasmonic metasurfaces

Advanced Photonics Congress (IPR, Networks, NOMA, SOLITH, SPPCom)
There is an important opportunity to further innovate and improve active metamaterials for the infrared regime over the state-of-the-art, as metasurfaces become less passive, functional for infrared wavelengths/frequencies, and some use interesting nonlinear effects.

All about (N-hexadecylquinolin-4-ium-1-yl)methylidenetricyanoquinodimethanide, a unimolecular rectifier of electrical current

Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2000
We found unimolecular rectification in a single molecule, (N-hexadecylquinolin-4-ium-1-yl)methylidenetricyanoquinomethanide, 1, in which the ground state is zwitterionic: D+–π–A−, and has a large dipole moment (43 D) while the first excited state is undissociated: D0–π–A0 (and has a smaller moment, between 3 and 9 D).

Caffeine enhancement of electrical activity through direct blockade of inward rectifying K+ currents in GH3 rat anterior pituitary cells

Pflügers Archiv, 1996
Treatment of rat anterior pituitary GH3 cells with caffeine causes a reversible enhancement of electrical activity superimposed over a depolarization of the plasma membrane potential. Similar results are obtained with theophylline, but not with isobutylmethylxanthine or forskolin.

A Three-Phase Delta Switch Rectifier for More Electric Aircraft Applications Employing a Novel PWM Current Control Concept

2009 Twenty-Fourth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2009
In the course of the More Electric Aircraft program active three-phase rectifiers in the power range of 5 kW are required. A comparison with other rectifier topologies shows that the three-phase ?-switch rectifier (comprising three ?-connected bidirectional switches) is well suited for this application.

A comparative analysis of current mode control techniques used in high power factor boost rectifier for electric/hybrid vehicle

2011 IEEE Recent Advances in Intelligent Computational Systems, 2011
This project proposes current mode control techniques for high power factor operation of boost rectifier. The current mode control techniques are linear peak current mode control (LPCM),non-linear carrier (NLC) and predictive switching modulator (PSM). The steady state stability analysis of the boost rectifier with the proposed switching modulators is ...
