Distributed electric field approximation

Proceedings 16th Annual International Symposium on High Performance Computing Systems and Applications, 2003
Grid or mesh techniques are frequently used to approximate continuous entities that behave in a wave or fluid-like fashion. Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) are usually involved in the description of such entities or processes. Distributed parallel computation was used in various computer cluster configurations to calculate PDE solutions of ...

Electrical field and current distributions in electrochemotherapy

Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics, 1999
Electrochemotherapy is a method for cancer treatment consisting in combining intratumor injection of cytotoxic agent with the application of intensive electrical stimuli. Thus transient cell membranes permeabilization is created, allowing the agent to better exercise its destroying effect.

Electrical field distribution in the human body

Physics in Medicine & Biology, 1973
Electrical potential differences are applied to the human body in biomedical work and sometimes by accident. The determination of electrical field patterns is important under these circumstances. The present paper gives the basis for applying electromagnetic field equations, particularly the Laplace equation, to the determination of field patterns ...

Measurement of electric field distributions

IRE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1955
The usual method of measuring electric field distributions comprises a receiving antenna at the point of observation, connected by means of a transmission line to receiving apparatus at some distant point. The principal advantage of the method described here is that it eliminates the transmission line and thus makes possible many measurements which ...

Electric field distributions in strongly coupled plasmas

Physical Review A, 1985
Corrections to the adjustable-parameter exponential (APEX) model recently proposed by Iglesias, Lebowitz, and MacGowan for electric field distributions in a strongly coupled plasma are defined and discussed. The results for a neutral point are compared with those from Monte Carlo calculations for two values of the plasma parameter, and good agreement ...

Electric field distribution on knife-edge field emitters

Applied Physics Letters, 2007
Conformal mapping is used to calculate the electric field on a knife-edge cathode, modeled as a rectangular ridge on a flat surface. It is found that the field enhancement factor scales approximately as the square root of the height-to-width ratio of the knife edge.

Electric field distribution for a surface

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1971
A closed form expression is obtained for the electric field distribution that results when a voltage is impressed on a system of surface wave interdigital electrodes. The conventional assumptions of weak piezoelectric coupling and of electrodes long compared with acoustic wavelength are made.

Cathode electric-field-intensity-distribution function

Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 1975
The behavior of the distribution function for the electric field intensity at the cathode is considered including only nearest-neighbor effects and is compared with the behavior of the distribution function obtained when including the effects of many ions.

Electric field distribution in brain tumors

2014 IEEE Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena (CEIDP), 2014
About 37% of the brain tumors are malignant, causing brain cancers. Brain tumor stands as the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children and adults. Current standard of cure includes surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Brain surgery is too complex and involves more risks in treatment.
