Spin Drift in Highly Doped n-type Si [PDF]
A quantitative estimation of spin drift velocity in highly doped n-type silicon (Si) at 8 K is presented in this letter. A local two-terminal Hanle measurement enables the detection of a modulation of spin signals from the Si as a function of an external

Dielectronic recombination of lithium-like Ni25+ ions - high resolution rate coefficients and influence of external crossed E and B fields [PDF]
Absolute dielectronic recombination (DR) rates for lithium-like Ni$^{25+}$($1s^2 2s$) ions were measured at high-energy resolution at the Heidelberg heavy-ion storage ring TSR. We studied the center-of-mass energy range 0--130 eV which covers all $\Delta

Electric field induced Lyman-α emission of a hydrogen beam for electric field measurements [PDF]
Electric field induced Lyman-α emission is a new way of measuring weak electric fields in vacuum and in a plasma. It is based on the emission of Lyman-α radiation (121.6 nm) by a low-energy metastable H atom beam due to Stark-quenching of the 2s level induced by the field. In this paper, we describe the technique in detail.
