Experimental studies of influence of DC and AC electric fields on bridging in contaminated transformer oil [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Analysis of real operating condition revealed that HVDC transformers experience combined effect of DC biased AC electric field. The dynamics of pressboard particle in contaminated transformer oil under the influence of DC, AC and DC biased AC electric ...

Natural Frequencies of Levodopa‐Induced Dyskinesia in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Abnormal involuntary movements, known as dyskinesias, are common complications of levodopa treatment in patients with Parkinson's disease and can significantly impair quality of life. The underlying pathophysiology remains unclear, and current therapeutic options are limited.

Research on the Directional Measurement Method of Three-Dimensional Electric Field Intensity Components of the Atmosphere Based on the Geographic Coordinate System in the Airborne Model

open access: yesSensors
Due to the difficulty of achieving absolutely precise coaxial installation of measurement components, a coaxial error will occur between the measurement axis of the sensor and that of the electronic compass when conducting the measurement of the airborne

Electric field induced Lyman-α emission of a hydrogen beam for electric field measurements [PDF]

open access: yesReview of Scientific Instruments, 2015
Electric field induced Lyman-α emission is a new way of measuring weak electric fields in vacuum and in a plasma. It is based on the emission of Lyman-α radiation (121.6 nm) by a low-energy metastable H atom beam due to Stark-quenching of the 2s level induced by the field. In this paper, we describe the technique in detail.

Temporal Interference Stimulation of Centromedian‐Parafascicular Complex in Disorders of Consciousness: A Pilot Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Treatment of disorders of consciousness (DoC) remains a major clinical challenge, and noninvasive, targeted modulation of deep brain structures has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy. We aimed to evaluate the feasibility/safety and preliminary effects of thalamic temporal interference stimulation (TIS) targeting centromedian‐

Simultaneous space charge and conduction current measurements in solid dielectrics under high dc electric field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The importance of space charge in solid dielectrics has been recognized for many years and various attempts have been made to map the distribution and assess its influence on the electrical performance of solid dielectrics. Significant development in non-

Longitudinal Changes in Adiposity after a Youth Sport‐Related Knee Injury: Informing Post‐Traumatic Osteoarthritis Prevention

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Youth who experience a sport‐related knee injury have elevated odds of overweight or obesity in 3‐10 years, compounding their risk for post‐traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). To inform prevention strategies, this study compared patterns of adiposity change between youth with a sport‐related knee injury and uninjured youth in the 2‐year period ...

Electric field determination of polymeric dc power cable in the presence of space charge [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Space charge in polymeric power cables has been previously measured by the pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) technique and its influence on electric field distribution has been estimated assuming that the conductivity is independent of electric field. In this

Received signal strength indication-based localisation method with unknown path-loss exponent for HVDC electric field measurement

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2017
The electric field environment under high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines is an important design consideration. In the wireless sensor networks for electric field measurement system under the HVDC transmission lines, it is necessary to ...
