Spin Drift in Highly Doped n-type Si [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A quantitative estimation of spin drift velocity in highly doped n-type silicon (Si) at 8 K is presented in this letter. A local two-terminal Hanle measurement enables the detection of a modulation of spin signals from the Si as a function of an external

Electric field induced Lyman-α emission of a hydrogen beam for electric field measurements [PDF]

open access: yesReview of Scientific Instruments, 2015
Electric field induced Lyman-α emission is a new way of measuring weak electric fields in vacuum and in a plasma. It is based on the emission of Lyman-α radiation (121.6 nm) by a low-energy metastable H atom beam due to Stark-quenching of the 2s level induced by the field. In this paper, we describe the technique in detail.

Electric field measurement using a non-perturbative method based on a calibrated electric potential sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present results of finite element analysis for simple test structures which demonstrate clearly that the measurement situation is complex. The test structure consists of an open geometry parallel plate capacitor within a screened enclosure.

A method for measuring surface electric field intensity of insulators based on electroluminescent effect

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
The measurement for the surface electric field intensity of insulators based on electroluminescent effect is a non-contact measurement. By spraying a coating of epoxy paint mixed with ZnS:Cu electroluminescence powder on the surface of insulators, the ...

Simulation of the Influence of DC Electric Field Generators with Space Charges on Electric Field Calibration

open access: yesEnergies
To improve the measurement accuracy of direct current (DC) electric field measurement devices in ion flow fields, it is necessary to consider the impact of space charges on the calibration of DC electric field measurements.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Analysis of the influence of the grounding method on the measurement of direct current total electric field on a civil housing platform

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
Buildings near direct current transmission lines are sensitive to the electromagnetic environment, and the measurement of the electric field above them is important in engineering design and environmental assessment in China.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...
