Signaling properties of the human chemokine receptors CXCR4 and CXCR7 by cellular electric impedance measurements. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
The chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) and 7 (CXCR7) are G-protein-coupled receptors involved in various diseases including human cancer. As such, they have become important targets for therapeutic intervention.

ELECTRIC IMPEDANCE OF SUSPENSIONS OF SPHERES [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of General Physiology, 1928
A general expression has been derived for the electric impedance of a suspension of spheres each having a homogeneous non-reactive interior and a thin surface layer with both resistance and reactance. The applications and limitations of impedance measurements on such suspensions are discussed.

ELECTRIC IMPEDANCE OF ASTERIAS EGGS [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of General Physiology, 1936
The alternating current resistance and capacity of suspensions of unfertilized eggs of Asterias forbesi have been measured at frequencies from one thousand to sixteen million cycles per second. The plasma membrane of the egg has a static capacity of 1.10µf/cm.2 which is practically independent of frequency.

High impedance analysis in recordings of deep brain stimulation surgery

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Neurosurgery, 2021
Background: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is used widely today to control many chronic neurological disorders including Parkinson's disease (PD). During surgical procedures, an electric lead wire is inserted to stimulate a specific target of the brain. In

An Improved Q-Axis Current Control to Mitigate the Low-Frequency Oscillation in a Single-Phase Grid-Connected Converter System

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
An electric railway system is a typical single-phase grid-connected converter system, and the low-frequency oscillation (LFO) phenomenon in electric railway systems has been widely reported around the world.

Improve the quality of "dead band" audio-frequency magnetotelluric impedance data using electric field remote reference

open access: yes矿业科学学报, 2022
Magnetic remote-reference is the most practical noise suppression method in magnetotelluric data processing. In actual audio-frequency magnetotelluric (AMT) sounding observation, usually the "one with three" or "one with four" acquisition method is used ...

Electrical impedance tomography [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Translational Medicine, 2018
Continuous assessment of respiratory status is one of the cornerstones of modern intensive care unit (ICU) monitoring systems. Electrical impedance tomography (EIT), although with some constraints, may play the lead as a new diagnostic and guiding tool for an adequate optimization of mechanical ventilation in critically ill patients.

Do metal implants for total hip arthroplasty affect bioelectrical impedance analysis? A retrospective study

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2023
Background Evaluation of body composition after total hip arthroplasty (THA) is essential because it can be used to evaluate muscle and functional recovery. Muscle volume and degeneration are evaluated using computed tomography (CT).

Monitoring Freeze-Damage in Grapefruit by Electric Bioimpedance Spectroscopy and Electric Equivalent Models

open access: yesHorticulturae, 2022
Grapefruit is a cold-sensitive citrus fruit, and freezing can spoil the harvest when the fruit is still on the tree and even later during manufacturing and transport due to inappropriate postharvest management.

Study on the Improvement of Electrical Facility System of Automated External Defibrillators by Real-Time Measurement of Thoracic Impedance

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a serious emergency disease that has increased steadily every year. To this end, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is placed in a public place so that even non-professional medical personnel can respond to SCA ...
