Besides the well known Stark resonances, which are localized in the potential well and tunnel through the potential barrier created by the dc-field, "strange" long and short-lived resonances are analytically obtained.

Evidence of Iron Accumulation in Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy: A Potential Novel Disease Mechanism
ABSTRACT In this first application of Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping Source Separation to cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy, we uncovered alterations in iron and myelin within lesions and normal appearing white matter. As validation, we demonstrate abnormal iron accumulation in those same compartments within primary brain tissue.

Impacts of different defects on electrical field distribution in cable joint
Defects in cable joints, induced in the process of manufacturing or assembling, can alter the distribution of the electrical field seriously. To investigate the impacts of different defects on electrical field distribution in cable joints, equivalent ...

Electric charge and potential distribution in twisted multilayer graphene
The specifics of charge screening and electrostatic potential spatial distribution in multilayered graphene films placed in between charged substrates is theoretically analyzed. It is shown that by varying the areal charge densities on the substrates and/

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

The potential for battery electric vehicles in New Zealand [PDF]
Several challenges are facing personal transport in New Zealand; the need to reduce carbon emissions, the depletion of cheap oil reserves, increasing congestion, localised pollution and the need for long term sustainability.

Higher Dimensional Taub-NUTs and Taub-Bolts in Einstein-Maxwell Gravity
We present a class of higher dimensional solutions to Einstein-Maxwell equations in d-dimensions. These solutions are asymptotically locally flat, de-Sitter, or anti-de Sitter space-times.

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

The Electric Aharonov-Bohm Effect
In their seminal paper Aharonov and Bohm (1959) claimed that electromagnetic fields can act at a distance on charged particles even if they are identically zero in the region of space where the particles propagate. They proposed two experiments to verify
