The principle of magnetic flux switch. [PDF]
AbstractThis paper introduces an innovative Magnetic Switch (MFS) designed to control and alter magnetic flux within energy system components, offering an alternative to conventional power electronic devices. The MFS comprises a low-current control coil, a control core, and a high-density magnetic flux-carrying main core combined with a main coil ...

Interpreting magnetic helicity flux in solar flux emergence [PDF]
Magnetic helicity flux gives information about the topology of a magnetic field passing through a boundary. In solar physics applications, this boundary is the photosphere and magnetic helicity flux has become an important quantity in analysing magnetic fields emerging into the solar atmosphere.

Flux qubit as a sensor of magnetic flux [PDF]
A magnetometer based on the quantum properties of a superconducting flux qubit is proposed. The main advantage of this device is that its sensitivity can be below the so-called "standard quantum limit" (for an oscillator this is half of the Plank constant).

Triode for Magnetic Flux Quanta [PDF]
In an electronic triode, the electron current emanating from the cathode is regulated by the electric potential on a grid between the cathode and the anode. Here we demonstrate a triode for single quantum magnetic field carriers, where the flow of individual magnetic vortices in a superconducting film is regulated by the magnetic potential of striae of

Quantum Wires with Magnetic Fluxes [PDF]
In the present article magnetic Laplacians on a graph are analyzed. We provide a complete description of the set of all operators which can be obtained from a given self-adjoint Laplacian by perturbing it by magnetic fields. In particular, it is shown that generically this set is isomorphic to a torus.

Measuring the magnetic flux density with the flux loops and hall probes in the CMS magnet flux return yoke [PDF]
The direct measurements of the magnetic flux density in steel blocks within Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) magnet yoke are performed with 22 flux loops installed in selected regions of the yoke. The 10,000-ton CMS magnet flux return yoke encloses a 4 T superconducting solenoid with a 6-m-diameter by 12.5-m-length free bore and consists of five dodecagonal

Magnetic tweezers with magnetic flux density feedback control [PDF]
In this work, we present a single-pole magnetic tweezers (MT) device designed for integration with substrate deformation tracking microscopy and/or traction force microscopy experiments intended to explore extracellular matrix rheology and human epidermal keratinocyte mechanobiology.

AbstractWe have already seen that the spectra of quantum graphs are independent of the particular form of the magnetic potential (5.8)—only integrals of the magnetic potential along the edges play a role. One may say that adding magnetic potential is equivalent to a special change of vertex conditions.

ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Topological Quantization of the Magnetic Flux
The quantization of the magnetic flux in superconducting rings is studied in the frame of a topological model of electromagnetism that gives a topological formulation of electric charge quantization. It turns out that the model also embodies a topological mechanism for the quantization of the magnetic flux with the same relation between the fundamental
