Transkranielle Elektrostimulation (tES) beschreibt eine Gruppe von Hirnstimulationstechniken, die einen schwachen elektrischen Strom über zwei nicht-invasiv am Kopf angebrachten Elektroden applizieren. Handelt es sich dabei um einen Gleichstrom, spricht man von transkranieller Gleichstromstimulation, auch tDCS abgekürzt.
