Skin Cell Proliferation Stimulated by Microneedles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A classical wound may be defined as a disruption of tissue integrity. Wounds, caused by trauma from accidents or surgery, that close via secondary intention rely on the biological phases of healing, i.e., hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and ...

Recent Trends in Electrical Stimulation Therapy.

open access: yesJournal of exercise physiology, 1994

Modeling motor responses of paraplegics under epidural spinal cord stimulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Epidural spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is a promising therapy for spinal cord injury (SCI). This paper combines experimental data from epidurally-stimulated human paraplegic patients with computational models of SCS to identify the electric field ...

Electric stimulation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the treatment of nonunions

open access: yesInjury, 2006
Up to 10% of the fractures occurring annually in the U.S. end up in non-union or delayed union. Classical treatment with osteosynthesis and bone grafting is not always successful. Alternatives in treatment have long ago been considered. This article presents current concepts in treatment with electrical stimulation and hyperbaric oxygen, the mechanisms

ANTIARRHYTMIC EFFICACY OF SOTALOL IN PATIENTS WITH TACHY-BRADY SYNDROME HAVING ATRIAL PACEMAKER WITH DIFFERENT ATRIAL ELECTRODE POSITION

open access: yesРациональная фармакотерапия в кардиологии, 2016
Aim. To evaluate efficacy of the combined therapy (sotalol and constant electric cardiostimulation in AAI regimen) at two atrial electrode position: in low back part of interatrial septum (IAS) and in right atrial auricle (RAA).Material and methods.

Electrical Stimulation Therapy for the Central Pain.

open access: yesSurgery for Cerebral Stroke, 2003
Central pain due to stroke, spinal cord injury and surgical or traumatic brain injury is frequently refractory, and therefore, electrical stimulation therapy including stimulation of the spinal cord, thalamus and cerebral cortex is indicated. In this report, we discuss a strategy for dealing with central pain.
