Sustainable Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles
In this work, we develop a detailed analysis of the current panorama for electric vehicle charging technology, focusing on the various levels and types of charging protocols and used connectors. We propose a charging station for electric cars powered by solar photovoltaic energy, performing the analysis of the solar resource in the selected location ...

A Systems Engineering Methodology for System of Autonomous Systems: Test and Evaluation
ABSTRACT Recent advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) have resulted in autonomous systems that reduce operators' workload and involvement in hazardous missions. Integrating these systems into an existing system of systems (SoS) can evolve it into a system of autonomous system (SoAS).

Monitoring wildlife using long‐endurance solar‐electric UAVs
This report discusses the effectiveness of using small solar‐electric UAV (uncrewed aerial vehicles) for aerial wildlife monitoring. We review four years of aerial wildlife monitoring missions using a 5.5‐m wingspan, solar‐electric UAV that was equipped with a gimballed IR/RGB camera.

ABSTRACT The development of autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) represents the convergence of two simultaneous automotive revolutions: electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). AVs require sensors, decision‐making systems and actuation systems to achieve autonomous driving, whereas EVs require intelligent management and real‐time ...
