Measurement of auditory brainstem responses evoked by electrical stimulation with a cochlear implant
British Journal of Audiology, 1990Auditory brainstem responses evoked by electrical stimulation with a Nucleus/Cochlear implant can be measured if care is taken to prevent stimulus artefacts. A simple procedure is described which relies upon a passive LCR filter to prevent the radiofrequency carrier from entering the input of the recording amplifier.

Electrically evoked auditory brainstem response to stimulation of different sites in the cochlea
Hearing Research, 1993It is often assumed that stimulation of the eighth nerve with brief current pulses results in a highly synchronous discharge of action potentials from the ensemble of excited nerve fibers. Latency data derived from the electrically evoked auditory brainstem response (EABR) of the guinea pig and human indicate that there is a baso-apical gradient of ...

Pre-perioperative, transtympanic electrically evoked auditory brainstem response in children.
International journal of audiology, 2005The purpose of this study was to characterize the transtympanically evoked, perioperative electrically evoked auditory brainstem response (EABR) and define its relationship with preoperative hearing, age and hearing loss etiology in 59 children (10-60 months of age) who had received cochlear implants.

Prediction of auditory nerve survival in humans using the electrical auditory brainstem response.
The American journal of otology, 1992This investigation studied the electrical auditory brainstem response (EABR) input-output functions in three groups of patients: individuals with normal auditory neural systems; patients with acquired, profound sensorineural hearing loss; and patients with congenital, profound sensorineural hearing loss.
