Connected and Autonomous Electric Vehicles (CAEVs)

IT Professional, 2018
The powerful capabilities of connected and autonomous electric vehicles will make them a popular provider of a wide range of services, including mobility, sensing, computing, traffic control, and energy management. This paper uses a characterization of these services to devise a service management framework and pricing schemes.

Electrically Connected Resonant Optical Antennas

Nano Letters, 2012
Electrically connected resonant optical antennas hold promise for the realization of highly efficient nanoscale electro-plasmonic devices that rely on a combination of electric fields and local near-field intensity enhancement. Here we demonstrate the feasibility of such a concept by attaching leads to the arms of a two-wire antenna at positions of ...

Electrical connections for power stations

Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1906
The division and arrangement of units and the system of electrical connections in a power station have much to do with the cost and successful operation of the plant. Conditions vary to an extent which prohibits the use of standard arrangements, but certain general principles are applicable to all layouts.

CONNECTING ELECTRICAL AND STRUCTURAL DIELECTRIC CHARACTERISTICS

Frontiers in Electronics, 2011
An attempt is made to correlate electrical measurement results to specific defects in the dielectric stacks of high-k/metal gate devices. Defect characteristics extracted from electrical data were compared to those obtained by ab initio calculations of the dielectric structures. It is demonstrated that oxygen vacancies in a variety of charge states and

The electrical-to-chemical connection

AIP Conference Proceeding Volume 78, 1982
New data on shock‐induced electrical polarization in polymers is presented for polysulfone, polystyrene, and polypyromellitimide. The polarization generated in polysulfone is the largest reported for any polymer. A strong correlation is observed between the number of benzene rings in the monomer repeat unit and the magnitude of the polarization.

Diagnostics of Electrical Connections of Electric Traction Network

2020
Full-scale structural measurements of new and existing electric traction networks are becoming increasingly important because of the ever-increasing train speeds and associated effects. Higher speeds lead to increased loads and greater structural dynamic responses, increasing mechanical and electrical loads.

A self-locking conductive cardiac patch for immediate electrical integration with infarcted rat myocardium

Bioactive Materials
Myocardial infarction (MI) is the leading cause of human death. Conductive patches have emerged as a promising alternative for MI repair. However, due to the epicardium and the scar tissue blocking the electrical connection between the patch and the ...

Graph connectivity in electrical studies

IET-UK International Conference on Information and Communication Technology in Electrical Sciences (ICTES 2007), 2007
Graph connectivity become central theme in electrical studies. We proposed a novel algorithm for cluster analysis that is based on graph theoretic techniques. A similarity graph is defined and clusters in that graph correspond to highly connected subgraphs. A polynomial algorithm to compute them efficiently is presented.

Connecting Electric Vehicles and Green Energy

2013
This paper discusses the interrelationship between the purchase of green energy (GE) and electric vehicles (EV) and the motivations for and values formed around the purchase of the combination of the two. The BMW Group completed a two-year EV and GE user study, a joint project with the PH&EV Research Center at UCDavis and multiple market research ...
