Integrated Control of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) using PSoC

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is one of the earliest non-conventional machining in order to manufacture very accurate 3-D complex components on any electrically conductive materials. In die-sinking EDM, a pulse discharge occurs in a small spark gap between electrically conductive workpiece and electrode in dielectric ...

Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Plasma‐Assisted Hybrid Friction Stir Welded Dissimilar Aluminum–Copper Joints

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
Plasma‐assisted hybrid friction stir welding of dissimilar AlCu joints employs localized plasma preheating to balance heat input and enhance plastic flow. The optimized process reduces axial force by up to 35%, refines the microstructure, and achieves ≈96% joint efficiency.

Lightweight and High‐Strength Carbon Bulk Preparation Via Low‐Temperature Pressureless Sintering of Sugar‐Derived Carbon

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
The synergistic effect between crosslinked polyacrylamide and glucose brings the precursor sintering activity with better thermostability, allowing its formation of a coherent carbon structure at lower temperatures (≤ 1200 °C) under ambient pressure.
