The Shape of Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) is altered in Stroke Patients

The 26th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2005
The shape of the Power Spectral Density Function (PSD) of the Electrical Field Distribution exhibit abnormalities in the brain structure when comparing chronic stroke patients with healthy volunteers. We built a System that can deliver White Noise currents in the 0-25kHz band to any electrode pair.

An Investigation into the Electrical Properties of Doped Barium Titanate Using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS)

Ferroelectrics, 2013
Barium titanate has been doped with rare earth oxides (erbium, holmium, gadolinium and yttrium), in an attempt to understand the effect upon the reliability of the dielectric material for multilayer capacitor applications. The morphology of the samples used was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

In-situ monitoring of oil emulsion fouling in ultrafiltration via electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS): Influence of surfactant

Journal of Membrane Science, 2020
Abstract Some inconsistencies were found in the literature on the effect of surfactant type on membrane fouling by surfactant-stabilized oil emulsions. For instance, a recent study showed that the fouling trends revealed by optical coherence tomography (OCT) were incongruent with the flux decline trends.

A Study on the Dielectric Behaviour of Plant Cell Suspensions using Wideband Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (WB-EIS)

2020 IEEE SENSORS, 2020
This paper presents the dielectric behaviour of suspensions of tomato cells (MSK8) and tobacco cells (BY2) in Murashige and Skoog, and Phosphate Buffer solutions. The behaviour of various concentrations of such suspensions is studied over a wide range of frequencies (1 kHz to 20 GHz).

In vivo Electrical-Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Readings in the Human Rectum

2016
Worldwide, colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality, ranking third among the most common cancers. Although screening programs are useful in reducing its impact, the screening tools available at present are far from being ideal.

Study of stilbene and resin acid content of Scots pine heartwood by electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)

Holzforschung, 2011
Abstract Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) heartwood samples were measured with electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) at frequency range 1 Hz–10 MHz in green and relative humidity (RH) 65% conditioned moisture content (MC) after oven-drying.

Glucose Detection Based on Low-Cost Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Using Genetic Algorithm

2018 IEEE ANDESCON, 2018
The aim of this work is detecting glucose concentration based on low-cost electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) that works in a frequency range until 65 KHz through sine waves generated by a direct digital synthesizer (DDS). This system uses a pass band filter to reduce offset before a voltage to current converter which drives frequencies toward an ...

Wound Classifications Of Breast Tissues with Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS): Comparison of LVQ and GA-LVQ

2019 5th International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech), 2019
Deaths of people with breast diseases have reached 40% and are increasing every year. Breast Disease arises from wounds in breast tissue is breast cancer. Wounds of breast can be seen and discriminated the type of wound using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS).

Evaluation of Electric Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) to determine Breast Cancer Type in Voluntary Patients

2013
Breast cancer is considered among the leading causes of mortality and in Mexico is the leading cause of death in women over 25 years. Current limitations in treatment are associated to late diagnosis of the disease. Application of bioimpedance measurements to differentiate mammographic findings has technical feasibility because the electrical ...
