Measurement of glioma electrical properties for data-driven electrical properties tomography

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
IntroductionElectrical properties (EPs) are widely used to assign values to electromagnetic simulation models, providing the comprehensive datasets needed for data-driven electrical properties tomography (EPT) reconstruction. However, the key limitations

Optical and electrical properties of nanostructured metallic electrical contacts

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2017
We study the optical and electrical properties of silver films with a graded thickness obtained through metallic evaporation in vacuum on a tilted substrate to evaluate their use as semitransparent electrical contacts.

Particle size tuning in silver-polyacrylonitrile nanocomposites

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2010
Silver-polyacrylonitrile (Ag-PAN) nanocomposites were in situ synthesized by simultaneous polymerization of acrylonitrile and reduction of silver ions, starting from mixtures of silver nitrate (AgNO3), acrylonitrile (AN), and UV photoinitiator (IN).

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Investigation of dielectric and mechanical properties of Lignocellulosic Rice Husk Fibril for high and medium voltage electrical insulation applications

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The insulating material is made from rice husk and epoxy resin which are ecologically friendly and incredibly durable. When coarse Rice husk is mechanically disintegrated, fibrils are formed.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

I-V and C-V Characteristics of Porous Silicon Nanostructures by Electrochemical Etching [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2013
Porous silicon (PS) layers has been prepared in this work by electrochemical etching (ECE) technique of a p-type silicon wafer with resistivity (1.5-4 Ω.cm) in hydrofluoric (HF) acid of 20% concentration.

A sustainable approach for developing biocarbon from lignin and its utilization in recycled ocean nylon based biocomposites

open access: yesComposites Part C: Open Access, 2023
Nylon/polyamide (PA6) is a major cause of ocean plastic pollution because of its extended use in commercial fishing activities. Recovery of this nylon from oceans and its use in manufacturing new materials or composites is urgently required to promote ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
