The effect of nano size fillers on electrical performance of epoxy resin
Epoxy resin is widely used in high voltage apparatus as insulation due to its excellent mechanical, electrical and chemical properties. Fillers are often added to epoxy resin to enhance its mechanical, thermal and chemical properties.

Vapour sensing applications and electrical conduction mechanisms of a novel metal-polymer composite [PDF]
A novel metal-polymer composite is presented, comprised of a micron-sized nickel powder dispersed within a silicone polymer matrix. The composite is intrinsically electrically insulating, but displays a dramatic increase in conductivity under compression,

A Dislocation Perspective on Strength and Toughness in Ceramics
Dislocations in ceramics enjoy a long but yet under‐appreciated history. The three research waves for dislocations in ceramics highlight the topic evolution over the last 90 years. This review focuses on the impact of dislocation on strength and toughness in ceramics.

Anomalous transport models for fluid classification: insights from an experimentally driven approach
In recent years, research and development in nanoscale science and technology have grown significantly, with electrical transport playing a key role. A natural challenge for its description is to shed light on anomalous behaviours observed in a variety ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.
