Kinetic modeling of electro-Fenton reaction in aqueous solution [PDF]
To well describe the electro-Fenton (E-Fenton) reaction in aqueous solution, a new kinetic model was established according to the generally accepted mechanism of E-Fenton reaction. The model has special consideration on the rates of hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) generation and consumption in the reaction solution.

Abstract This study compares the performance of Fenton, electro-Fenton, sono-electro-Fenton and photo-electro-Fenton treatment methods on the degradation of phenol. The effect of operating parameters such as hydrogen peroxide concentration, Fe2+ concentration, current density, initial phenol concentration and solution pH was studied.

Removal of diclofenac by three-dimensional electro-Fenton-persulfate (3D electro-Fenton-PS)
Chemosphere, 2019Diclofenac (DIC) is a new type of contaminant that has been widely detected in the water environment, posing threats to the ecological environment and human health. However, the conventional wastewater treatment process has a very limited ability to reduce DIC.

Electro-Fenton degradation of synthetic dyes
Water Research, 2009The electrochemical removal of a synthetic solution containing 120mgL(-1) of alizarin red has been studied by electro-Fenton process using a gas-diffusion cathode to produce in situ hydrogen peroxide by oxygen reduction. The effect of operating conditions such as Fe(2+) concentration, applied current, solution pH and temperature on the efficacy of the ...

The influence of anode materials on the electrochemical treatment of tannery wastewater (TWW) was evaluated using Pt, Ti/RuO2-IrO2 (DSA), Ti/SnO2-Sb, Ti/PbO2, and Ti/SnO2-Sb/PbO2 electrodes. The comparison of the degradation mechanism of these electrodes in the electro-Fenton (EF) treatment was evaluated.

Modeling of Electro-Fenton Process
2017From the conventional Fenton process (H2O2 and Fe2+), the electro-Fenton process was derived to improve the hydroxylation method (partial organic oxidation). Thereafter, electro-Fenton was adapted to water remediation. Since then, this approach has received much attention for wastewater treatment because it is an eco-friendly process and its ...

Bio-electro-Fenton system for enhanced estrogens degradation
Bioresource Technology, 2013The feasibility of removing estrogens including 17β-estradiol (E2) and 17α-ethynyl-estradiol (EE2) was studied in a bio-electro-Fenton (BEF) system equipped with a Fe@Fe2O3/non-catalyzed carbon felt (NCF) composite cathode. E2 and EE2 were removed by reactive oxidants, produced by bio-electro-Fenton system and zero-valent iron/O2 system, as well as ...
