Temperature sensitive controller performance of MR dampers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Magnetorheological (MR) dampers can experience large temperature changes as a result of heating caused by energy dissipation, but control systems are often designed without consideration of this fact.

Study on damage and failure characteristics of loaded gas‐bearing rock–coal–rock combination structures

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, Volume 4, Issue 4, Page 800-815, December 2025.
The influence of gas on the instability and failure of rock–coal–rock combinations is considered. The damage characteristics of gas‐bearing rock–coal–rock combinations under different confining pressures, axial loading rates, and gas are revealed. A constitutive model for gas‐bearing rock–coal–rock damage considering gas is established.

Corrosion Inhibition Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of High‐Strength Galvanized Steel Wire in the Presence of N,N′‐Dimethylethanolamine

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 12, December 2025.
This paper proposes N,N′‐DMEA to inhibit HSGSW corrosion, characterizes its induced mechanical degradation, and identifies the optimum N,N′‐DMEA ratio for HSGSW in cable‐stayed bridge structures. It offers a new technical approach for protecting bridge cable high‐strength steel wires.

Hydrodynamic Removal of Sediments in Open Irrigation Channel

open access: yesModern Agriculture, Volume 3, Issue 2, December 2025.
The experimental study investigated the hydraulic behaviour of particle transport in an irrigation channel equipped with submerged longitudinal structures designed to reduce the effective cross‐sectional area. The findings demonstrate that the placement of parallel barriers along the flow axis generates localized acceleration and turbulence, which ...
