ABSTRACT This study presents a multiphysics numerical investigation of a plate‐type methane steam reformer (MSR) intended for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) applications. The focus is placed on resolving the coupled thermo‐fluidic behavior, species transport, and reaction kinetics associated with MSR and water–gas shift (WGS) reactions within the ...

Electro-hydraulically actuated forestry manipulator: Modeling and Identification
We present results of modeling dynamics of a forestry manipulator, in which we consider its mechanics, as well as its hydraulic actuation system. The mathematical model of its mechanics is formulated by Euler-Lagrange equations, for which the addition of friction forces is straightforward.

Highly Dynamic Soft Electrohydraulic Origami Actuators for Agile and Multimodal Robotic Locomotion
Most current soft robots still lag far behind their natural counterparts in both agility and speed, mainly attributed to the limited morphing modes and performance of soft actuators. Here, the authors report a new methodology of electrohydraulic origami (EHO) for creating powerful and multimodal soft actuators with large strain, high speed, lightweight,
