An analysis of the 2016 Hitomi breakup event

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2017
The breakup of Hitomi (ASTRO-H) on 26 March 2016 is analysed. Debris from the fragmentation is used to estimate the time of the event by propagating backwards and estimating the close approach with the parent object.

Spectrally Fragmented Electrical Dispersion Compensation for High-Speed Microstrip Traces in Data Centers Connections

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
The frequency-dependent dispersion impairment of high-speed printed analog traces in next-generation pluggable modules is studied. This frequency dependence is considered for the first time in optical fiber communication systems.

On the effect of building platform material on laser-powder bed fusion of a Ni-base superalloy HAYNES® 282®

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Materials, 2022
Additive manufacturing (AM) by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) involves melting of layers of powder onto a substrate, called a building platform. Due to cost or convenience considerations, building platform materials rarely match the LPBF material ...
