Simulation analysis of the electro-thermal performance of SOI FinFETs [PDF]
The GSS `atomistic' simulator GARAND has been enhanced with a thermal simulation module to investigate the impact of self-heating on FinFET DC operation. This thermal simulation module is based on the solution of the coupled Heat Flow, Poisson, and Current Continuity Equations, which is developed for the benefit of computational efficiency.

Laser-Induced Graphene Heater Pad for De-Icing
The replacement of electro-thermal material in heaters with lighter and easy-to-process materials has been extensively studied. In this study, we demonstrate that laser-induced graphene (LIG) patterns could be a good candidate for the electro-thermal pad.

Charge injection enhanced natural convection heat transfer in horizontal concentric annuli filled with a dielectric liquid [PDF]
The natural convection heat transfer in a highly insulating liquid contained between two horizontal concentric cylinders is shown by two-dimensional numerical simulations to be noticeably enhanced by imposing a direct current electric field.

Intelligent long-term performance analysis in power electronics systems
This paper proposes a long-term performance indicator for power electronic converters based on their reliability. The converter reliability is represented by the proposed constant lifetime curves, which have been developed using Artificial Neural Network

Mathematical and computer modeling of electro-optic systems using a generic modeling approach [PDF]
The conventional approach to modelling electro-optic sensor systems is to develop separate models for individual systems or classes of system, depending on the detector technology employed in the sensor and the application.

This study investigates thermo‐chemical processes during high‐temperature testing of two commercial MgO‐C brick grades, one containing 47.5 wt.% MgO‐C recyclate. Using ETV, DTA/TG‐MS, XRD, and SEM/EDS/EBSD, mechanisms such as carbothermal reduction of magnesia, impurity incorporation into the secondary MgO surface layer, and calcium‐rich phase ...
