A study on temperature monitoring method for inverter IGBT based on memory recurrent neural network

open access: yesHigh-Speed Railway
The power module of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) is the core component of the traction transmission system of high-speed trains. The module's junction temperature is a critical factor in determining device reliability.

Cosmological Production of Dark Nuclei

open access: yes, 2018
We study the formation of Dark Matter nuclei in scenarios where DM particles are baryons of a new confining gauge force. The dark nucleosynthesis is analogous to the formation of light elements in the SM and requires as a first step the formation of dark

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Nonequilibrium Dynamics of Charged Particles in an Electromagnetic Field: Causal and Stable Dynamics from 1/c Expansion of QED

open access: yes, 2011
We derive from a microscopic Hamiltonian a set of stochastic equations of motion for a system of spinless charged particles in an electromagnetic (EM) field based on a consistent application of a dimensionful 1/c expansion of quantum electrodynamics (QED)

Melt Grafting of Geometry‐Tailored Voltage Stabilizers for High‐Performance Polypropylene Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable one‐step melt grafting strategy is developed to enhance the dielectric properties of isotactic polypropylene by covalently incorporating thermally stable aromatic voltage stabilizers. This solvent‐free approach improves volume resistivity and DC breakdown strength through deep trap formation and charge localization, offering a sustainable ...

Three-dimensional electro-thermal coupling analysis of ultra-high-voltage autotransformer based on MPI-PETSc parallel computing framework

open access: yesSustainable Energy Research
Ultra-high-voltage (UHV) autotransformers are widely employed in long-distance power transmission systems. Their operation involves complex energy conversion and coupling mechanisms, including high-intensity magnetic induction energy and strong induced ...

A Proposal for Altering the Unification Scale in String Theory

open access: yes, 2005
An ensemble of short open strings in equilibrium with the heat bath provided by the Euclidean worldvolume of a stack of Dbranes undergoes a thermal phase transition to a long string phase. The transition temperature is just below the string scale.

Multilayer Soft Photonic Arrays Inspired by Cephalopod Skin for High‐Density, Independent, and Multimodal Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A vertically stacked, DEA‐driven photonic array inspired by cephalopod skin, featuring highly crystalline colloidal crystal gels with vivid color, low FWHM and scalability is presented. The multilayer design removes lateral pixel interference, achieving near‐100% fill factor with fully independent RGB actuation.

Analysis of Vibration Energy Harvesting Performance of Thermo-Electro-Elastic Microscale Devices Based on Generalized Thermoelasticity

open access: yesActuators
Piezoelectric material structures with an excellent mechatronic coupling property effectively promote self-power energy harvesting in micro-/nano-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS).

Tunable coupled-mode dispersion compensation and its application to on-chip resonant four-wave mixing

open access: yes, 2014
We propose and demonstrate localized mode coupling as a viable dispersion engineering technique for phase-matched resonant four-wave mixing (FWM). We demonstrate a dual-cavity resonant structure that employs coupling-induced frequency splitting at one of
