Electroacupuncture and category IV LASER for treating suprascapular neuropathy in a two‐year‐old Arabian filly

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, EarlyView.
Summary A 2‐year‐old Arabian filly presented with acute onset grade 4/5 (AAEP) right forelimb lameness and hindlimb ataxia following a collision with another horse and subsequent fall. The right forelimb lameness was associated with marked scapulohumeral joint instability.

Non‐Pharmacological Interventions for Cough in Patients With Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cough, a prevalent and debilitating symptom of lung cancer, remains poorly managed. Accumulating evidence on non‐pharmacological interventions for lung cancer cough necessitates systematic evaluation to assess their efficacy. Aim To synthesise evidence on non‐pharmacological interventions for managing cough in lung cancer patients ...

Effects of Electroacupuncture at ST36 on Visceral Pain and Inflammatory Markers in IBS Rats

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, Volume 38, Issue 5, May 2026.
Electroacupuncture (EA) at ST36 significantly reduced visceral pain and colonic inflammation in IBS model rats. EA increased pain thresholds, lowered AWR scores, and downregulated key inflammatory mediators (IL‐1β, IL‐6, TNF‐α, TRPV1, NF‐κB). These findings highlight ST36‐targeted EA as a promising therapeutic strategy for IBS visceral hypersensitivity

Electroacupuncture inhibits neuronal pyroptosis in ischemic brain injury through modulating SIRT5-mediated NEK7 succinylation

open access: yesBrain Research Bulletin
Ischemic stroke is a leading cause of global death. The treatment of this disease can inevitably result in reperfusion, thereby triggering cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) and neuronal pyroptosis.
